Hi, all.

I have a need for a restoration/replate for a NEW Good Will. I used to use Krona Kruiser over at B&B, but he dropped off the radar over a year ago.

Any recommendations?

Thank You!

That's why I put two options. (I should have pointed it out).

Dave from Restored Razors replated 3 of my Cobra Classics (gold, rose gold and black chrome) and I was very pleased.

FYI on Delta Echo - They don't use Cerakote. It's Gun Kote. Both are separate, distinct coating.......

+1 Chris has done some fantastic work for me. I don't mind the wait times because I love the attention to detail he gives my razors. Prices are great as well.

Just for my info. What's the difference and pro/cons vs standard replated.

Cerakote is a bake-on finish that is more durable, while gun kote is a spray on finish that does not require "proofing" (baking).

Chris at razorplate does great work but even though most will not agree so does razor emporium. Ive had razors done by both and are excellent.

Several options, don't use the razor spa in the UK! That person no longer does replating but his website is still up and his eBay and etsy shop as well.

Recent feedback seems to indicate improved quality at Razor Emporium.

Ben,

Are you absolutely sure on the non-baking (proofing) of Gun Kote? I was under the impression there are two modes in Gun Kote application. Proofing and non-proofing.

Clarification: There seems to be a lot of speculation and opinions on which coating is the "best".

Ya they do plating in house now so i guess before they sent razors out. Ive had three razors done by them but nothing super fancy due to past reviews. But they turned out great so will use them again. I still put my money on chris though even if it takes longer. I have two razors done by him and two more going soon.

I'm following this thread, as I may be looking for replating in the near future.  I've researched prior threads on this subject before, but I look forward to updated feedback from the community.
