So got my first shave in with a Med Prep blade last night I was very amazed at it. I was very very happy with it. I used some (maybe 5) Personna Labs maybe 6 months or so ago and was not impressed at all. I have read a ton were some people cant tell the difference and other can. I guess I'm in that camp that can I guess. I have 2 more that were sent to me going to see if the experience is the same with those two and if so I might have to see about getting some. I just got 100 PolSilver's maybe I'll trade half of them away for some MedPreps.

Med preps are solid blades, I do like the Personna Reds better but I have quite a few Med preps that I use occasionally.

The issue of whether the Meds and Lab Blues are the same blade has been around for a long time and never been definitively resolved.  Best to try both  and see which one works best for you.  I could not tell the difference,  so the less expensive Lab Blues are my preference.

I like them. Not as much as I like Spoilers.

For what it's worth, I think I can tell the difference between meds and labs. It very well could just be in my head. I have a couple hundred of both.

The caveat in my mind if this;
What is the length of run for any batch of DE blades?
Should the box of 250 be consistent? Will the next box be of the same quality? Was your box the same?

I don't know exactly how they're made, but I have to believe the beginning, middle, and end of each batch would be slightly different. Depending on how often the tools and equipment that produce the blades are kept up there would be subtle degrees of variation.

I've read the only difference aside from labeling and packaging between the meds and labs is an additional step for the meds to sanitize then.

I generally use every blade for one week. Change every Sunday morning. Meds hold up well for me. I usually shave each and every day too.

They're smooth on the first shave. That I like very much.

Med Preps feel smoother on my face than Labs. Furthermore I can generally get 4-5 good shaves with Preps, but only 3 good shaves with Labs.

Regardless of whether one prefers the Meds or Lab Blues, it's great to support an American manufacturer.

The first one I got 3 full head and face shaves from was feeling a litt me less smooth and sharp and the end of the 3rd shave so I pulled it. But I could that has 7-9 face shaves so really gold results

Do you mean where can you get them?

Mine were a gift from a friend, but I'm sure there are responders to this thread who can answer that.

I've never gotten the best results from either the Lab Blues or Meds.  I really wanted to like these blades because the're made in the USA but it hasn't worked that way.

Most vendors seem to be in the same ballpark if you're buying just a few. If you're buying in bulk, Robbins Medical Supply seems to be a good option.

I definitely like these blades because of how smooth they are, but when I shaved side by side with a KAI, I could tell a lot more stubble was left on the med prep side, and the KAI side smooth and finished.

I like med preps over blues, and reds over both. That said - they are all pretty good blades.
