Aristocrat Junior; Aristocrat #15 OC (yes!); Swing Senior with original shipper; Two lady's mini razor kits in great condition (Nymph/Laurel); Fuldex bristle brush, made in London (never seen one of these before): weighty, aluminium and bakelite, just beautiful; and a Gleaner Souvenir, a beautiful mini razor in perfect condition for its age (early 1930s)

There were some other items too, but I don't want to gloat Smile

How much did I pay? First let me say the #15 has some brassing on the teeth, but I'd rate it as very good condition overall and mecahnically A1.

In US dollars: $135. Don't hate me too much Smile

Very cool!

Interesting brush there.

I've always admired the Swing razors from afar. Some day I'll get serious about scoring one to try out. It seems they came in several variations. The boxed set there is a stellar find!

Hi, yes, thanks everyone.

The Aristocrat appears to be one of those English versions without the second number on the ring, only having 430.030 stamped under the head. I hadn't realised there is more than one version of the English #15 Aristocrat OC. I definitely know there is a #15 closed comb version, too. I have umm, two of those Smile Same as the #21, but different case/shipper.

The Swing Senior seems to be silver plated, but I find that the cap is usually a bit of a problem, cosmetically. I have the one above, but also another without case and shipper. I posted pics of this loose one below. The cap is copper, but have no idea what this strange silvery plating is, a kind of frosty alloyed something (I have come across this substance before; wonder if anyone knows what it is.? It's bubbled. The one in the case (above) is nowhere near as bad, but just something to watch out for if you ever buy one online.

The handle is really hefty, though, weighing in at 53 grams. and is beautiful. Also check out the hefty base plate.

I have two other round bakelite swing sets and they have completely different construction. I have never used any to shave with, so can't comment.
