Gentlemen, beauty is hard to resist. One such example for me is the Joris DE razor. Not only is the Joris an amazing shaver, it is also a beautiful thing. It is an aggressive razor. Yet it also holds a treasure of silk. I wanted a seven-day set. And now I have it. And I love it. I thought I should share the beauty of Joris with my friends.
Stay well and enjoy,
Obie

WOW !!! Love those Joris Razors..I have a 2 day set...one with Bone and Palladium and a custom stained Rosewood handle (by me). As well I usually use my B.R.W Memorial handle plated brass to match the Palladium and grooved with staight up and down cuts...really special (was made to fit the Gillete thread so the thread is narrower than the larger Metric 5 which will not fit the Joris.

Thanks for the kind words.
They've cost me a fortune, I know, but I'm a sucker for beautiful things. What's more, the pleasure I receive from holding the razors and shaving with them somehow pacifies my grumbling wallet.
Stay well.
I need to figure out a way to get my wife to think like this.

Palladium and Canadian walnut; light buffalo horn; Thuya Wood and gold shave head; lined palladium; Thuya Wood and Palladium; Rosewood and Palladium; and light buffalo horn and gold shave head.
Don,t get excited but FENDRIHAN in Canada has a new one YEW WOOD/Palladium $164.00 (a unique blonde wood they say)

The razor's aggressive touch is draped in silk. When you learn the razor's characteristics, you'll be amazed at the shave's comfort. When comparing the Joris with the Muhle R41, there is something harsh about the R41 despite the great shave, whereas the Joris wraps the great shave in a blanket of comfort.
Stay well,

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, those two are handsome razors. All seven are distinctly handsome. I store them in a wooden stand made for me to hold my straight razors. Here is an old photo of the stand.
