I've been working on building a set of carved ivory razors.

So when this John Sellers & Son showed up i thought it was a likely candidate for my collection.
The blade had a few issues that I addressed . Cleaned up nicely . The original Ivory scales were cracked but no matter since I planned on carving my own replacement set for it.
I kept the design simpler than the others I've carved as this blade seemed better suited to this look. I did though make a black lipped MOP inlay for the face side.
I used washerless brass pins, made a lead wedge out of a bullet to wrap it up.
This is #5 if you're counting .

Very Nice carving! I like how that lead wedge polished up.

That's what struck me as well . Not quite the norm. Shaved with it last night and it was terrific!

Beautiful restoration.  That blade looks like it cannot be saved.

That file work I just did on the completed razor.
Doing that on tempered steel is a neat trick .
