Greg Kahn:"The original open comb bulldog deluxe head is being made once again using a more modern process like that used on the OSS model."

Thanks for another great interview Dave

A question for Greg:
Does that mean the New Open Comb Bulldog Delux Head with be manufactured of Cast Stainless Steel with a protective coating like the OSS ?
I've assumed it was to be machined from a single block of 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel like the S3S.

My iKon Products:
iKon S3S Bamboo (main razor)
OSS
iKon Bulldog Handle/1918 Gillette OLD Head

The OSS head (and the upcoming new deluxe open comb head) are made with an advanced sintering process , casting is a bit different and produces a much less detailed and precise part.

The handles , like all iKon handles, will be machined from stock bar 316L stainless steel.

There is a newer fully machined 2 piece all stainless steel iKon due out soon that is replacing the now phased out 3 piece S3S model.

Is there an ETA?

Great interview, thanks to Greg and Dave.

I love my S3S and my OSS and am very much looking forward to this year's models whenever they come out.

Soon Cool

Tweaked a few things.

Feedback given to me , the earlier two piece assembly H20 and SK9 razors that had
the base plate mounted on the handle via a spinner mechanism were just easier to load the blade and top cap.

So went full on stainless with a redesigned nicely balanced Bamboo Handle.

thanks for the update Greg Smile

Have you decided which base plate to use? I notice the two different designs, one with smaller chads, and the one with the slots.

Good eye , have played around with both designs and will release the better of the two.
