I've had my Edwin Jagger de89bl for 7 years now and have always loved it. I've lately been wanting to try a new razor or get a new handle for the EJ. Something with more weight maybe and better grip. Any suggestions for a handle with a budget of $50 or less? Thanks

Ikon OSS. Turned mine into a new razor. The Ikon SE is a good one as well but I find the OSS to be perfect for my taste.

I find the OSS a little long. I prefer the iKon Bulldog. It has nice weight, length and grip. And it's only $25.

Do a search for the Apollo razor handle on Amazon.  I have been using this handle with my EJ head.

Have a look at Bob's work Elite Razors for a more unique option. He's a member here at TSN and makes beautiful handles.

Another vote for a bulldog, as I find it to be the ideal length for any head. I prefer the knurling on the Weber to that of the ikon.

Two suggestions:

1.  Bob Quinn of Elite Razor makes beautiful handles and has a large selection in stock at his website.

2.  Weber Razor.  They make three stainless steel handle styles that sell for $34.99 each.  Excellent quality and made in the USA.

While the Edwin Jagger and Mühle standard handles are nice - for the price - they are light weight and hollow in feel.
So upgrading to a new more solid handle will almost make you feel like you are using a new razor.

The 89 Mühle/Edwin Jagger head design is solid and works in many after market handles.

In UK look on the Bay and search for Windrose Handles. Quite a range at about £10 each.

My hands tend to hurt me due to a few accidents. Especially in the morning. I just found they didn't ache or cramp with the OSS. Trying to use a Bulldog was too hard on them due to its small size.
