Some soaps, like Tabac, lavender, citrus & lanolin, aggravate my mild rosacea by reddening my temples and nose area and leave bumps if used too frequently.  I still use Tabac and DRH lavender soap occasionally because I like them.  I just can't use them too frequently.  I've had a couple of artesian soaps that left my face very itchy or had a base scent I hated, so I avoid most artesian soaps. Stirling seems to be an exception.

I have mild rosacea as well and shaving in general inflames it, even though the red area is not where my beard grows (except for my chin).  Soaps with certain fragrance oils, and those with a lot of menthol can leave me very inflamed.

I have had good luck with most Stirling soaps I've tried, most Barrister & Mann as well as with european soaps like Savon Des Bons Bergers and SMN.

My face burns as I use any of the St. James of London creams. Too bad, because I like the scents very much!!

I think I've had at least a mild reaction to every single artisan soap or aftershave that I've tried so far with only one or two exceptions. I had a severe reaction to one of my favorite fragrances and the first time I used it, I thought that I had splashed acid onto my face. I also have a mild reaction to one of my favorite aftershaves. In some cases, I didn't realize that the soap or aftershave was causing so much irritation because I thought that the pain was just from bad technique. Eventually I tried some factory soaps and aftershaves and I didn't have any pain whatsoever, so it wasn't always my fault after all.

Now I don't know what to do with all of these artisan products that I bought. I PIFed a few items but I feel kind of careless for investing in all these tools that didn't work out for me. I guess that was the price of learning a lesson - I should stick to samples before buying full size products in the future.

It's only the almond Italian soaps that irritate my skin.

Ditto. Same here.
Gives me a slight red skin reaction.
One soap I plan on PIF'ing.
But just love the scent, even though it's against my preferences in a soap.

I loved CRSW spiced amber, but the cardamon in it gave me irritation.

While I love cardamom and cinnamon, I think adding one of these or both to a shaving soap/cream perhaps is not such a great idea

I've had some reaction to cella, in the past. The strange thing is I don't notice it every shave with cella. It's just a mild tingling nothing too serious.

Every CRSW product I have used left me with a fantastic shave, until 30 seconds after and my face broke out with bumps and redness! It seriously looks like I've been stung by a couple dozen hornets.

I'm talking all formulas, vegan tallow everything!

Any soap with Lanolin in it gives my face a red burning feeling ... took me a while to figure out what ingredient it was that was causing the irritation but finally narrowed it down to soaps containing Lanolin

You must have multiple allergies then, aside from CRSW..

The old CRSW Fall is one of my favorite smelling soaps, but I've learned that I can't handle cinnamon either.

The complexity with the coniferous element is wonderful. I loved the scent so much that I hope it comes back in the new base for others to enjoy.

B&M LPC. Just opening it sent my allergies in to overdrive. First soap that's ever done that. I have an Epi pen on hand at all time and darn near thought I would need it. It's weird because I have no issues with LGC. Not sure what was in it but nothing else has ever hit me like that!

The Fat performed very well for me but it gave me a bad burning sensation. Also, L'Occitane Cade gave me some irritation and dryness. Cream-wise, there's Comme il Faut from Russia which seems to have no skincare. Its lather is very good but the eucalyptus scent is too strong and it leaves me feeling like my face is completely unprotected.
