Mitchell's Wool Fat.  Really want to like it as leaves the skin feeling great.  Trouble is an hour later my face is blotchy and stings!!!!!!   The only soap I've tried that does this.  I suspect the lanolin but who knows!!!   Real shame but luckily plenty more to sample!!!

Fragrance oils and detergents flare up my neck and sinuses.  I prefer the natural route with essential oils.

CRSW, all iterations except for Olivia have bothered my face severely. Kramperts Bay Rum soap also irritates my face like crazy.

This is all very interesting.  A few thoughts:

1)  My wife is apparently allergic to wool.  I wonder if people with lanolin issues also have issues with wool.
2)  Spiced scents seem to be a problem.  I guess the spices get into the micro niches and burn.  I say this is the the cinnamon challenge for the face.
3) Fragrance oils also seem to be a problem.  These are often alcohol based and can be one of 3000 different chemicals.

I stick to essential oils I know are antimicrobial, anti inflammatory, and don't irritate my skin.  If I find a soap I like but not a scent, I take the soap and add a few drops of my own essential oils before lathering.

I get a mild irritation with La Toja if I took my time, but I'm still enjoying that soap. It's perfect for travel as well.

I got similar reactions to Italian soft soaps (e.g.: soft Valobra).
On the other hand, I have no problem, in terms of skin reaction, using hard Valobra or hard GFT Coconut.

I would check the ingredients.  Creams are more susceptible to harboring bacteria and will have more chemicals and preservatives.

That’s true, although, fortunately, the vast majority of (preservative/paraben-containing) creams I've used, haven't given me such reactions.

I had a allergic reaction to XPEC, C&S and Valoubra so I gave them away to family and friends.

For me, it's anything with a good amount of menthol in it. If it's a small amount (like SMN) I can tell it's there, but it doesn't light my face up like some of the others with a big menthol kick.

I have allergies to almost everything.  Basically,  anything that could count as 'artesian' shaving soap/cream.  Really, I have to be very careful.

For me it's MdC...I really enjoy the scent of the original and still use it but gives me irritation..perhaps it's the essential oils used?

Catie's Bubbles LPV got to me.  I love Catie's but that particular scent burned my face.

Since it's a handful of the same Brand, I'd look at it as being an Fragrance oil vs Essential oil problem, I myself have an adverse reaction to FO's... makes my skin red & itchy.
