Yes and yes in my opinion. The right size knot can be heavenly.
In my opinion everyone should definitely experience the density of chubby. It is not a lather hog in my opinion.

Harry, if you have never tried a Chubby 2 Super and you can afford one, you should, really. They are very luxurious.
Having stated this, I much prefer my 2-Band ones for their specific characteristics.
Good luck.

A whole different face feel, just have to get the dimensions right otherwise it can feel like a furry brick.

Yes and perhaps.  I've tried several high density brushes, e.g. Simpson Chubby and M&F blonde, and did not like them.  But only you can decide if you like high density brushes.

There is the CH2 synthetic also. It's still a very dense knot but different. If you do get one be sure to have it made with a 54mm loft.

...Carlos, if you are asking me, i have no idea.  i have never used a chubby.
.........the closest thing i have is a Fine Accoutrements 'Stout" brush that i purchased from a fellow member here.
...but many of the members here are chubby chasers, and can definitely help you with your question....

I haven't used a Chubby, but I have used a few very dense brushes including Dukes.  There's definitely a difference in feel as the higher amount of hair increases the sensations.  It can also trap lather in the knot which requires a lot more product or squeezing the brush.

If you're the type who wants to try all kinds of brushes, definitely try one out.  I'd recommend a used brush if possible because if you don't like it, you don't lose much money to sell it.

Personally, I don't feel like an incredibly dense brush is better than a moderately dense brush.  I like brushes that splay with light pressure and allow the lather to be released without squeezing.

IMO yes the high density knots are worth it. I really like my CH2 and CH3 super, and my CH3 Manchurians.

Jim, just showed this photo to the lady in my house to show her I'm not the only one out there, who is crazy.

Thanks for your help, it actually helps to show her, that I'm not the only one out there, who is crazy  Biggrin
