I do.

IMO every brush is suitable for face lathering.

The PL10 knot, although much less dense, is a similar size to the CH3. The handle is just twice as long!

Out of curiosity, what are you inquiring about the brush? Is it the size of the handle or knot?

Ben, I much prefer the Polo 8 handle as it fits my hand, more comfortably than the 10, but the Chubby 3 knot is so much more luxurious, for me. Shy

The knot. I believe that any handle can be used to face lather. The question is that is the polo 10 knot - which in my opinion is less dense than chubby, higher than chubby - good for face lathering?

I exclusively face lather and can count on one had the number of times I have bowl lathered... I  recently picked up a polo 10 and have used it a few times. I think that this brush is an excellent face lather brush. So much so, that I have thought about adding a second Polo 10 in a LE handle.

I hate to disagree with you Ben, but I think that the Polo 10 is as dense as a Chubby and closer to a CH2 than a CH3. I totally get where you are coming from, but I think that the added loft makes the brush splay more 27/56+ (Polo 10) vs 27/50+ (CH2). If I hold the Polo at its base and take a pic they are similar in density.

Regardless of how you look at it if you face lather this brush you will be happy!!!!

IMO, the splay of my particular PL10 makes it feel similar in size to a CH3, but definitely not the same density.

Mark could chime in here, but I think I'm correct in assuming brush pricing is predominately based on the weight of the knot. Obviously a denser knot will weigh and therefore cost more. I know knot weights are a closely guarded Simpon secret, but cost must be directly proportional.

You are no doubt correct if comparing knot diameter as the PL10 and CH2 are closer, but in terms of face feel, my experience suggests that the CH2 feels more concentrated on the face than the PL10, the real estate taken by the PL10 for me feels more akin to the CH3, however, both the CH2 and 3 feel fuller, more concentrated and therefore denser to me...

As always YMMV

And Jim, you have a wonderful collection my friend.

I love my Polo for face lathering!  Wonderful brush.  I find the increased loft to really improve flowthrough over my Chubbies.
