Prep: Cold water rinse; face lather
Lather: RazoRock Zi' Peppino - face lather
Brush: Muhle Black Fibre
Razor: Merkur 39C Sledgehammer Torquer
Blade: ??? Blind DE Blade Test (1); 3 passes

All I can say about this shave is that it completely blew away what I got from the barbershop shave I had earlier in the morning.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Razor: Merkur Long Handled Progress
Blade: Gillette Dark Blue
Brush: Vie-Long Gonzalo Horse/Boar
Soap or Cream: Provence Sante Verlaine Hard Soap
A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel, Provence Sante Verlaine Splash

Provence Sante Verlaine has become one of my favorite soaps. It is a veggie soap, but consistently produces a rich, creamy, and fragrant lather which brings back memories of blooming linden trees. The French seem to understand the strong link between scent and memory, an understanding that has made them famous in the fragrance world. But PS Verlaine would still be a good shaving soap, even if it were unscented. Today's shave was great, and I'm ready for a hot and rather humid day.

I think I find the Cobra easier to use than some of my more aggressive DEs. I could have stopped after only one pass but decided to go all the way! An effortless 3 pass BBS.

Sunday morning:

Top Ten for Men cream
Semogue 610 boar
Gillette 1907 "Single Ring" model
Med prep (1)
Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

This was my first shave with this razor that just arrived yesterday. It's every bit as nice a shave as the Old and the New LC. Maybe better. The handle is really nice and silver isn't a slick metal, so between both factors (and the excellent shave), the razor is a winner. It felt like a Ferrari, very agile.
