So this morning I didn't really get to enjoy my shave and wanted a change of pace so I ended up shaving the majority of my beard off. Its been 10 years since I've been able to see this much of my face. I had about 10 inches trimmed off the other day and that felt strange enough, now although I'm happy for the change (and my wife has never seen me without), i feel very odd.

You have to post before and after photos, Matt, so that we'll understand what you are getting at.

I know how you feel. I just shaved off my goatee after having one for years. Had to because of the new job.

Matt, that is a substantial difference! Either way, it will always grow back. You might as well start off from scratch and shave the rest off, along with the moustache! I would love to see a photo of that juxtaposed with the 'before' pic, above!  Thumbup

I understand completely.

My wife hadn't seen me without a moustache for almost 30 years. I shaved it off and from my perspective I had vision in a place that I hadn't had any in quite some time. Felt naked? ... yup.

My neighbor has worn a full beard for almost 25 years and on a STUPID football bet that he lost, he shaved it off completely.  When he came home his two year old daughter ran from him screaming and crying, what did you do with my daddy.  It was a sad thing to see.

Shaved off my stach and goatee last year after about 9 years of having it. My daughter wouldn't stop staring and my wife told me I was cut off until I grew it back. Needless to say it's back. I agree on how awkward it feels lol.

Looks good either way on Ya! Nice to change things up from time to time.

The continued culture wars over going hirsute or not in the workplace are ridiculous unless one's occupation includes using OBA gear.

Looks good, Matt! I agree with the others, it's good to change it up once in a while.

Same here. I caught myself stroking an invisible beard . Also did this thing where I put my bottom lip or soul papatch against my top lip.  Look like a meth head gritting his teeth and playing with invisible beard ...
