Anybody have an LS shaving brush? Price is good but I wasn't sure about the quality.

I bought one a while back. Not bad for the price. Tips were very soft on the silver tip. Handle was ok. Nothing great.  The problem was the shedding for me. I am not sure it ever stopped, I gave up first.

Bummer that it was soft but a shedder. Soft is my top priority.

I got a 30mm finest from LS and really like it.  Very soft tips when wet.  Mine has not shed more then three hairs in 20 uses. For the price it's been a fantastic brush

LS has the capability to make a phenomenal brush. I think what you'll find, however, is that they are inconsistent. One of my first brushes was a Frank Shaving brush, (very similar in quality to LS) and it still ranks as one of my top. It holds its own against Simpson, Shavemac, M&F. But I've tried four since then, and they have all been junk. A couple shedders, and really scratchy, uncomfortable knots.

Luck of the draw, I guess. What you pay for in a premium brush isn't quality so much as predictability.

Good point. It may be worth the gamble.

I received my first LS brush and shaved few times. For $46 it's worth it.

Handle :
Since I use chubby 3 exclusively , the handle of LS feel small for my hands. The handle quality is good for $46 brush.
I immediately removed the sticker.

Badger:
The badger is very good and soft . The knot seems very good and didn't shed hair. My knot is 30mm and 53mm loft. However , I am little bit disappointed with 1m glue bump but again for $46 I can't complain much. Overall badger looks very good . Backbone is good and glue bump helped .

Reminds me of paladin "select" badger.

I think that this brand will beat shavemac 2 band silvertip any day or night

Overall money well spent $46

Value rating : 4/5

Congratulations, Mustafa. I wasn't expecting to see yours so soon. Did you ask for courier shipping?

I've owned an ivory 30mm 2-Band Finest 30x56 for just over three months and it's very much become one of my favourite brushes. I frequently use it on consecutive days and have used it for the past four. It's easily seen 30+ uses and, to this day, it hasn't shed a single hair. My Simpson Manchurians have been taking a back seat since this LS arrived. The handle isn't Simpson quality, obviously, but the brush has substantial weight. Soft, zero scritch and excellent backbone. A bargain for the price.

I ordered my second LS, this time in horn, a week ago.

+1  Thumbup

My two LS 30x53 and 30x56 are simply impressive,  better that brushes  5 times more expensive .

Thanks,

standard shipping. I don't think there was an option on eBay for express.

Interesting. My first brush took around 3 weeks to arrive after waiting a week to ship. My horn was shipped a few days ago. Curious to see how long this one takes.

No, the wooden box is still available. The options for case are either paper(cardboard) or wood.

Any way to buy the knot alone?

30mm is larger than I like and the smaller options don't have handles and lofts that I fancy.

The seller is not difficult to deal with, i have 4 of this brushes and they are wonderful. Started with 24mm ended up with 30mm in silvertip and finest two band .this is great brushes to that price and i have not had any problem with shedding.the newest brush is a year old and the first is about 4 years old.

I think that the hair quality is great and the handle is quite nice with a good polished finish nothing bad to say about them ... buy with confidence.

For the money, these are the best knots/brushes I have ever tried.
Nonetheless, be aware that you might have some issue with the seller as he does not correspond/communicate, very well and he sends the brushes via 'economy mail'.
Although there seems to be a 'tracking number', you won't be able to actually track your package.
I ordered a second brush on 2 December 2016 and it has yet to arrive and I doubt it will. I had to open a claim with ebay on 18 January and I was subsequently refunded my money as the seller contacted neither myself nor ebay within a 2-week time frame and I have still not heard from him.
It really is a shame as these 2-Band knots are superb.

Celestino sorry to hear about the mail issue .
Mine arrived with tracking door to door in 10 days. The tracking was working fine!!
Maybe the owner changed the shipping method
