Both brushes purchased direct from Lee and present as brand new, both are mint with NO scratches and lettering is flawless. Both have great backbone and are very soft, I face lather and these two are a joy.

I was just asked so I'll disclose, I'm neurotic with brush care, fwiw after each use all of my brushes are shampooed and conditioned with Pureology.
