Jamie,

As always lovely blades, I just love the shoulderless designs, not a fan of stabilizers especially double stabilizers as it always creates possible issues honing, I have seen some with bad heel hooks.

Very nice Jamie, I like those Dovo Bismarck styles. Wish they still made a plain blade in this style. I suppose Wacker or aust could do one on the same blank.

Cheers, Steve

Well I precticed my uneven bevel correction skills on this Wacker Jungmeister, I used two layers of tape and killed the edge then proceeded to get it on the 1K, i used various strokes and pinpint pressures in different areas and after about 30 mins on the 1K using moderate to light pressure the bevel was narrower and more even across the entire blade, i did change the tape several times thru out the entire process to keep things even and figure i can gently correct it over the next several honing and when its corrected lightly kill the edge then drop down to one layer of tape and be good to go.

4-Stone Progression:
Bevel Set: Chosera 1K with light DN slurry
Mid-Work: Shapton 4/8K Glass
Finisher:   Narutaki Asagi with DN slurry
Strop: Kanayama 70

Doing a little leisurely Sunday afternoon honing for fun more than anything, touched up the Hayashi 8000 on a too-hard karasu which always gives a nice edge. Also touched up a Dovo Bismarck, a Tanifuji Favorit, and a user-grade Filly 14 while I had slurry going.

Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve those Dovo Bismarks are very nice blades also a doddle to hone, super looking Hayashi 8000 I do slightly regret selling my NOS Hayashi 8000 still one should never look back at our past regrets it's the the future that awaits us not the past.

Just 3 for today I have another two more Palmera razors coming in next week I seem to have a lot of Palmera Iberia and Filarmonica 14s lately, not that I'm complaining as they are my favourite razors to hone.[Image: smile.gif]

Touched up a Thiers-Issard 11/16 Basic Black on an iro Kato-era maruka. The TI takes a really good edge and the stone is top tier.

Cheers, Steve
