William, he's a regular customer of mine sends me a few every year, this one as bone scales I don't see thay many TI razors with these bone scales, pretty straight forward razor to hone only needed to go 12K and 20K took a very nice edge.

4 in for honing today, including a very special pair of Mappin & Webb razors 1860-1880 the pair have never been honed or used dressed in Ivory scales absolutely mint flawless, today was also an experimentation day for me, first time using CBN 0.10 which they say is the equivilent to about 160000 grit, treated a Tony Miller Horsehide yesterday with about 10 sprays spread it around a little trying to get an even covering then left to dry, well after finishing  with my normal progression on the 20K I gave the Tony Miller about 30 light strokes, then 50 suede and finally 50 Kanayama cordovan shell, well I will shave with one of the razors tomorrow but on saying that I'm more than sure I've found a little extra level of sharpness, I will also ask the owner of the Mappin & Webb razors to give me his opinion as I have honed many razors for him in the past.

Jamie, I always look forward to seeing the great straights which are sent your way for honing.  Keep posting those pictures!

By the way, the TI Spartacus has long been a favorite of mine.

Shout out to a good friend here on the Nook, and Daniel Winkler ! Sharpened up the winklers! Hawk is polished to 12k and the belt knife has a 12k bevel but a dmt 600 microbevel. Sorry for the crap pic its best I can do. Yes FWIW I carry these 2 items everyday all day. Hawk is not a show piece or a safe queen she gets used.

That Winkler is beautiful!

I was going to rescale and lightly restore this Wade & Butcher 9/8, but after seeing the razor I'm having to rethink my first idea it's totally original in superb condition, I'm going to sit on my first thoughts for a while it's still a maybe in flecked horn and new Bullseye washers?

A touch of insomnia and reruns of petticoat junction is not working. Instead of counting sheep, I am counting x-strokes. A W&B refresh on a primitive coticule bout with a few drops of oil.
