Amazing Shave

For the last year I've shaved with a Futur, 37C Slant, and a Razorock SLAB. All Pretty good razors, this morning being Sunday I broke out my EJ-DE89 buried deep in my shaving drawer. Loaded a Persona Blade and had the best closest shave in a long time. Don't know if it was face prep, going slow, or just simple tools but an amazing shave from an old friend.

The lined EJ was my first razor and I had great shaves with it. I still have it in my den, later I bought the Barley, but I don't use them very often. Of course, it's a razor for both beginners and experienced shavers but I prefer using open combs lately.

Love the EJ89 .. it was my first modern razor. It is a very mild but efficient razor and will always be in my rotation. It's the one razor i've recommended to new DE shavers on a budget .. of course that one razor led me to more than a dozen different others in the past year :-)

It's a wonderful razor. I feel because it is not an exotic, not stainless steel, not offered on a very limited bases's, because it and Merkur are without question the most widely available DE razors through out the world makes them grossly overlooked.

Like you mentioned I also have a SLAB and been using that exclusively since I like aggressive razors for my thick stubble. The DE89 is a great daily shaver and when I usually switch back to it, my shaves are great.

Great affordable readily available DE razor. I have bought and sold it 2-3 times.
Now own the DE89 Long Handle. Great razor !
Also owns it big Big Brother, Barley Lined Chrome. An Even better razor.
