URGENT HELP - Pitralon AS, differences ?

Hey guys,

I'm about to buy some Pitralon AS.

But what is the difference between these two ?

I look at the official Pitralon website, and they only mention the 160 ml bottle, not the Pitralon Original 100 ml bottle ?




Is it because they are the same, just a 100 ml version and a 160 ml version ?

That's a new one to me Claus. Did they still have Pitralon Pure listed? It may just be a change of packaging. I have a large shipment that is somewhere between Rotterdam and New York right now.  When it arrives, I will have a better answer.

Phil, yes they had the Pure listed on the official website http://pitralon.com/ , but where I bought these 3, http://www.yourshaving.com, they only had these 3 listed, and I bought all 3 variants 2 minutes ago 

Pitralon Original is the same product as Pitralon Pure. It is produced in Austria, and branded Original in the local market, Pure for the international market.

You're welcome, Claus. Here is a quick breakdown of all the Pitralons in case you were curious:

Pitralon (Swiss) is the first bottle you posted. It's medicinal with a fruity pear scent.
Pitralon Original/Pure is from Austria. Kind of similar to the swiss but higher alcohol content.
Pitralon Polar is also from Austria. Light menthol and aquatic.
Pitralon Classic is the German version, and has a woody/floral scent with menthol.
Pitralon F is the Czech version and smells to me like wd40. My wife hates it!
Ralon is Croatian and uses the real original Pitralon formula.

I can now see that I seem to have chosen the 3 right ones for my taste   

I might buy the Polar down the road, but it wasn't available at the place I just ordered from..........but I'm not into the ice minty after shaves, Proraso Green, Myrsol Formula C and Formula K is more than enough for my needs, we only have summer for 6-8 weeks a year in Denmark, the rest of the year it rains similar to London weather here..............not icecold weather, not warm and dry enough either

You nailed it...the Czech Pitralon smells like WD40 or White Lightning to me as well.

Phil do you ever plan to restock the Pitralon Classic? While I am on a wish list kick. Barbus soap, Barbus As and MonSavon soap would be nice additions too. Both those soaps are some of the best soft shaving soaps bar none
