Does anyone know what size bowl fits the Tallow versions of the AoS hard Soaps?  Anyone have a bowl they can measure with a Tallow AoS soap in for me?  I don't have the soaps yet, which is why I'm asking.  I really like those Thuja Wood bowls I see on eBay from time to time.

Wonder if those would fit.  Any help is appreciated!

I will measure the AoS bowl when I get home - posting now so that if I forget I will see this in my "participated" tab.

Just measured with calipers.
It is a rounded bottom (though not perfectly spherical) and measures 3cm deep and 8.5cm diameter.
(Not American, hence metric).

Matt that's the Plisson soap puck. It's the same size as Floris, AOS & Penhaligon's pucks.  Plisson soap is a vegetable soap with a lovely scent. Not much mention of it on TSN but I find it an excellent soap with an excellent, masculine scent. I believe Phil stocks it.

Very nice. I have heard it's a very nice scent, as well!
I believe Phil is out of that soap, and that it has also been re-formulated (to the bad side, SP, a while back I remember looking at the ingredients list on the Plisson website).
For some reason, the French and English hard soaps seem to continuously fluctuate between good (PP) and bad (SP) formulas. Not always at the same time, and not always in the same direction.

Target sells dip bowls under the Threshold brand that fit perfectly.  They are ceramic and run about $4 and come in a variety of colors and patterns.  Just push it down with your fingers slightly and it will stick.

I found that this container works well, but I had to trim the sides of the puck slightly:

I hear ya Matt.  I am fortunate that I have the PP ingredient first.....

I don't understand why they keep switching...for the worse!

The only thing good about it is it's GFT's turn to step up to the plate Smile
