This lovely old Sheffield Hives warranted Stubtail came my way as part of a trade from fellow forum member It looked OK no bevel wrong scales but I saw there was potential, so I made a pair of horn scales after looking at many stubtail photo's I finally settled on a style I liked plus I had some nice pins and domed washers which I thought would kind of keep it's look authentic hopefully, I used a blood red acrylic wedge I always glue and then peen after a mock set up run, I honed the razor this morning suprisingly easy and what a fantastic edge my thumb as a big gash to prove it, I may give the razor a run out on Sunday.

Lloyd there's a UK seller on Ebay I've always used his horn blanks. I also put together a pictiorial step by step guide how to make a set of horn scales without power tools.

Aleksey there must be a glitch with Photobucket because I haven't deleted them or moved them, perhaps they will work later sorry.

Jamie.

First your grail razor was acquired, and now this beauty! I'm interested in the outcome of Sunday's shave with it.
