so after trying the Yes to Naturals shaving cream from Target and getting thick and slick lather from it, I stopped by another Target today and they had this new brand called Marlowe and I noticed they had a shaving cream -- looked at the ingredients and figured what the heck....well, this lathers extremely densely and is very slick.  A small amount generated shiny, yogurtesque peaks.

Will shave with it tomorrow and report back.

Just shaved with this today -- dialed the lather in to zero bubbles and very thick and creamy lather.  Honest to goodness this cream was extremely slick, had great cushion and had more than enough for 3 passes from an almond size dollop.  It reminds me a lot of the sort of lather that Speick cream gives, definitely more slick than Proraso. (Two creams I regularly use).

This one is a keeper.

Thats awesome, it looks like Taret is stepping up their game for the wetshaving world. I also believe Target is about to sell the Bevel wetshaving kit soon too.

They just began offering Bevel at Targets here in the Atlanta area.  Looks like decent stuff.

Thanks to your post I picked up a tube of Marlowe at Target. I will try in the morning I also noticed that Target had VDH badger hair brush, razor, blades, and the mug, brush, and stand kit.

I've used Marlowe. 145 now 3 times -- I'd put it in top three creams I've ever used for cushion, slickness and post shave feel -- honestly I'm extremely surprised by how good it is -- quite the product to be sitting on the shelf at Target for $8.99 for 6oz.  Scent is pleasant too.

Interesting. I haven't seen it at my local Target.
When I looked online, I saw a Marlowe 141, but not 145. What's the difference?

I'll watch for it...but I've got a lot of soap/cream inventory to work down!

It's very clean slight green/woodsy scent - with a soapy classic overtone. At least to my nose that is how it smells. Smile
