So, what is the best iKon Open Comb razor ever made and why? How do the iKon OC razors of your choice compare to other OC razors? I am mostly interested in the quality of the shave, efficiency and ease of use. If you have pictures post them for us to see.

My favorite is the 2010 OC Deluxe LE Bulldog.  Greg produced 99 numbered razors.  The shave, for me, is magical, a perfect combination of smooth and efficient.  It's by far my favorite razor.

This is one razor that I would like to acquire in the future.

How would you compare it to other OC razors such as the ATT line or maybe even the Wolfman?

This is another nice one, "Old Type" style in stainless.

Has anyone compared the two razors that have been mentioned so far?

My Wolfman should arrive soon.  I'll report back once I've tried it.

I've only tried two.  The Deluxe OC and the Shavecraft 101 (which is open comb on only one side).

Of the two, I prefer the Shavecraft 101.  The Deluxe OC shaved well but the combs were a little too blunt and felt a little rough on the face; in contrast, the combs on the Shavecraft 101 are rounded and smooth, feel like butter on the face.

Both are nice razors, but for me the Shavecraft 101 was slightly better.

I had the Deluxe OC that was a favorite until I found an aggressive Wolfman OC with a blade gap set to 74mm..I haven't picked anything up after that arrived over 2 months ago.

I currently have the OC Deluxe, the Standard Bar and the OSS as well. I prefer the OC out of these three with the OSS a close second. I even let go of my Blackbird, ATT OC set, RR Stealth, and 1 of my Feather AS-D1 razors. I simply didn't see any benefit over the iKon OC Deluxe from any of these razors. Don't get me wrong, the razors I let go of are excellent razors but I just like the balance, control and overall feel of the iKon OC. I find it easier to use and I get better shaves with it.

Is the current head (with DLC or Satin finish) different from the LE?

I think that besides the LE being machined and polished stainless steel it also has a flat bottom on the base plate with a recessed collar where the handle mates with it. The current OC Deluxe is sintered stainless steel and not polished with a raised collar on the bottom of the base plate where the handle mates with it. As for performance, others who actually own one will have to chime in with their opinions.

Yes, the newer DLC and Satin razors are different from the LE.  The new OC's are sintered stainless.  Machinists who examined my OC LE stated that the head appeared to be sand-cast and hand finished.  Not sure how Greg did it, but I find the shaving results to be fantastic, a step above the more recent version.
