l'occitan Cade

Been using Cade soap from l'occitan the last few shaves and for some reason I am not really liking it, I got better results with the glide/cushion but there seems to be like an astringent or something in it and it's not a great after shave feel on the skin so am I doing something wrong or it it just not for me.
