Just received this razor from Robert Quinn at Elite Razor. I had ordered a burl wood/resin combination brush from him and was so pleased with the result that I asked him if he could do a large frame Eskimo (Progress based) for me to go with the brush. Here is the result. It is the most beautiful razor I have. The combination of the wood and resin are simply outstanding and the depth of the material is hard to capture in a photo. Bob usually matches the barrel with a knob of the same material. In this case I am using a knob created by Toby Sooter (Triad) he has made for some other Progress razors I have. I think the result is just stunning. The knob assembly is made from polished aluminum which gives the razor an overall weight of 85 grams....significantly lighter than a regular Progress which gives the razor a better overall balance and head feel. I know some of these show and tell postings are self serving and the like but I wanted Bob Quinn's work to be seen in a slightly different context. He does special orders when he can and I think the attached is a spectacular result.
