I'm looking for a pre2012 Weber Classic handle for my newly acquired DLC head. From previous threads I've found that this handle is the only handle that will work perfectly with this head. My other handles work but they don't snug up the head until the last 1/2 turn or so. Thanks for looking and I'll trade or buy outright

I bought a Weber DLC with a Classic handle new from Weber in early 2012 and I can say they work perfectly together. The razor had been out of stock for a while at that point so I assume it was produced 2012. Not sure where you're getting the info from but you may be on a wild goose chase.

There's one on ebay right now for a $30 BIN price (free shipping) or you can place a bid for a potentially lower price. (not mine)
I love my Weber classic handle on my DLC head, it'll be a cold day in hell when that combo leaves my den.

There is a post from last year where a gentleman had the same issue. I'm not sure how to post the thread here. Here's a link. It talks about how Weber before 2012 had a different thread size for the DLC that's not what the standard razor handles are now a days

That would be me. A member was kind enough to mail me a handle that was "original" but that didnt fit as good as a properly threaded handle so i thanked him and sent it back. I've learned to just live with the razor head catching only on the last turn or so. Trying to hunt for a pre2012 weber handle is going to be hard, and i didnt want to bother with people selling me a not pre2012, and then me having to go through the hassle of reselling the handle or telling them it wasnt what i wanted so ive just accepted the fact that it will only catch on the last turn now. Best of luck to you and your search!

I, also, have never had any issues with my DLCs being used with my modern handles, which catch on the final few turns of the centre-post screw, and I have never had any problems during my shaves.
