Hi all. I'm Eric from Encinitas, CA (SoCal).
I discovered wet shaving a few years ago after decades of abuse with the Mach III razors, always leaving my skin inflamed and irritated. I didn't know what I was missing until I randomly stumbled across a thread on double safety razors. I'm using a basic Merkur 34C razor and love the TOBS shaving cremes, and Speick after shave. I also use a bunch of others including Lucky Tiger, D.R. Harris Sandalwood, and Captain's Choice Bay Rum. I like to try new things and learn more, and look forward to chatting with you all.
Cheers,
Eric

Thank you, fellas!
I tried a new brush this morning, a Simpson Commodore X3 Best Badger. First impressions... I've been using a Badger & Blade Omega Blonde Boar for years and like a stiffer brush, so it took some getting used to the much softer Simpson. It didn't lather as well as the B&B, but felt good on the face. I plan to keep it in the rotation and give it some time.
