I was curious if there was a way to make the forum default to full mode when an ipad is detected as now it defaults to the mobile version.?

I just click full version on the bottom but was just curious if this could be done?

Thanks!

I can''t make it work either. I've tried multiple browsers and reset browser settings as well.

I think it's somthing on the back end of the forum that may need to be set for this to function correctly.

I use feeddler news reader using the web option and all pages view the same as on my desktop. I also use dolphin browser and it has a desktop setting that displays the web version instead of the mobile version...will check it out and get back

Ok just opened shavenook normally then turned on desktop mode and opened shavenook in a new tab and it displays correctly.

I asked the same question and Andrew told me how to do it but I don't remember how. If he sees this, I'm sure he'll let us know how it is done.

That works but once I restart the browser it reverts back to mobile mode.

I use chrome and it is always on full site mode, only in Safari does it default to mobile. If memory serves me, you can force full site in both Opera and Dolphin.

Thanks, Andrew. You helped me with mine and I completely forgot how to do it. I do remember it was pretty easy because even I could do it. Tongue

Now when I log in it defaults to mobile mode and will not switch back to desktop version. If I log out I can switch to the full version. Any ideas?

it's probably doing that because you set your theme on 'mybb gomobile' in your user cp.

you can either go into your usercp>edit options and change it to luxure, ace navy, or the mobile theme, or you can go to the bottom right of the forum and change it using the quick theme option.
