Warm greetings from the UK.

My name is John and I'm hopelessly addicted to this multi faceted obsession called shaving. I'm desperately trying to keep my acquisitions at a sensible level . I think it is under control but time will tell.

A little bit about myself. I live in the South West area England and resided in the county of Somerset. I have been DE shaving for decades but still every day is different and a great learning curve. I prefer Boar brushes, Omega in particular. MWF bowl lathered. Tech type razors hit the correct note for me simple and robust . Blades range from Super Max through to Feathers.

It is exciting to witness the birth of a shaving forum and I'm looking forward to making new cyber acquaintances and trying to move forward by holding back.

Regards John

Welcome, John. It pleases me greatly to have another bowl-latherer join the fold!

Though I mainly shave with an Edwin Jagger razor now, I used a Gillette Tech almost exclusively for over three years. I'll always admire the Tech.

Good question John . I do have a small Simpson a Coates " Fitzwilliam " plus a New forest. But I think I have rather a Puritan ( in the shaving sense ) view on items which would be deemed as luxury. I like meat 'n potato no frill kit . This is not say I do not appreciate top notch quality because I do . Although having said that I do have a hankering for a large knot silver tip..:s
I know ,I know it never seems to end Biggrin
