I recently purchased a Simpson Chubby 2 brush and had a really hard time finding a stand large enough to accommodate its large knot. I know many will say that a brush stand is not needed but I prefer to store my razor and brush neatly together on a stand. I found one that works well with the Chubby 2 so I thought I would share to maybe save others some time looking. The Vintage Blades brand 32mm stand works great for the Chubby 2 and will also hang the Duke 2 from its handle. This stand has a nice heavily weighted base so it won't tip over and the chrome finish is high quality. I have no affiliation with Vintage Blades.

When I used brush stands, I had 7 or 8 to accomodate all my different brush sizes.......
Yet I still could not find any ideal stand for all my brushes, which resulted in some of my brush knots actually got a bit squeezed at the base of the knot.
If one has a wide variety of brushes, and don't use the same brush more than say once a month, a brush stand IMHO is useless and can actually cause unnecessary pressure to the base of the knot of the brush.
Not say ing this is harmful, but still, when it's unnecessary, why use it ?
If you want to impress your family and friends by having a stand with your shaving gear in the bathroom, do like I did - I bought an impressive looking chrome Plisson razor and brush stand for $180 and chose a fitting beautiful razor and brush, that fitted into the stand, and had that set in the stand at my bathroom counter to impress myself, my family and friends.
I laughed, when my girlfriends friend asked me, if I used that razor and brush everyday, because it looked brand new to her. I told her I never used it, it was just there to impress
Then I showed her my 'real' collection of brushes, fragrances, razors, creams, soaps, grooming products - and she just said 'WoW' and had that weird look in her eyes, as she thought I was a bit crazy.......
...... I just LOL'ed again
