I am interested in the capacity (oz) of the "inner" bowl (the lather bowl, if you will).
Can I ask what the significance of the "lather bowl's " capacity is? You are going to empty it of water before you shave, are you not? And you have the dimensions of that later bowl, correct? ( bowl width/depth 4" x 2.25", 12 oz. reservoir). I'm just curious what the significance is.
I own the G12, and rough estimate would be 8-10 oz.
If I can remember tomorrow evening, I'll measure it and post.

I was trying to determine how big they both were in comparison to the mug that I use to lather right now. I bought a scuttle from Phoenix, and I couldn't keep the lather inside (ended up giving it away). It measured 8 oz of inner bowl capacity, vs. 14ish oz of capacity in my current mug (never had an issue of "creeping/spilling" lather). I knew I wanted a bigger lathering area than that, hence the question.
I ended up buying a G20 2nd, which should be here on Monday. I'll post my measurement as well, as an FYI.

I have the G12. You can see by my videos how long my shaves last, at least when I'm running my mouth, too. The G12 lasts through that with no problems. I suspect the 20 would handle a much longer shave, but I honestly do not need it.
I have the Hamada and Blue. It's lovely, I think. I saw someone with the straight Hamada somewhere, and that looked great as well.
I plan to purchase a second one as backup, or just for a bit of color change. I think it will be Hamada and Persimmon. So many lovely options.
Hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

Well, it arrived today. Internal capacity for those interested is somewhere around 11 oz. Released The Kraken on it for its inaugural shave, and it held the lather temp beautifully. I will have to really look at it closely to find the imperfection(s), but nothing jumped out at me at first glance. Thanks to everyone for the feedback in the thread.

My G20 has an 11 oz water reservoir. Not sure about the G12. But fwiw, mine keeps my lather warm for 4-5 passes, np. I microwave it for 2 minutes and when done shaving pour the water onto my wash cloth for a hot cleanup. Wonderful!

Tell me if you notice the scent of your soap more while lathering in it.
I could swear the shape of the lather bowl helps direct the scent up into your face a bit better. Might be my imagination, but it seems that way to me.

It looks just like mine. I had to look really hard to find the "imperfection" - and a scuttle is essential for winter lathering.
