I collect vintage Gillette razors,in my quest I comb many antique & thrift stores. One fine day I stopped  into a well known thrift store and ask a young clerk if they had any old razors, what he said next made my blood run cold. He told me they throw them out when they come in because of bio-hazards. He goes on to tell me that sometimes they come in cool metal cases that he keeps  his marijuana in. Well thought I'd shed a little light on the tragedy of all beautiful works  of art in the landfills.

That's a shame. On the other hand, I guess you just found a nice dumpster to stake out. Smile

Take the blade out and clean it. No more biohazard - if there even was one to begin with.

The practice of throwing razors away is more common than you would think at these places.

You might give him a Barbicide jar and a few bucks. Perhaps he'd be willing to set them aside.

Good idea Brian, I have a guestion about soap maybe you can ask your wife for me, or you may know as well, with some soap recipes they talk about weighing all the ingredients but they don't say anything about the water is it weighed or in volume amount  thanks if you can answer this

Better than having one (such as an Aristocrat #15, as I picked up recently) sending it through the post to get some work on it and....yes...it gets lost. Forever. Thank you, Postal Service. As we say here in Australia, I'm f**** SPEWING.

Yeah Shaun read about that Aristocrat, sorry to hear but I am always an optimist maybe it will show up. The day I read that I thought it strange because I picked up a gold one at a shop not even related to antiques for $32. all it had on it was a little red stain from  the case

I may forget the dumpster and stick to the antique stores, around here anything near a thrift store is their property and the cops will get you
