I have a whole bunch. Great soap and fantastic scents. Nice cushion and glide, post shave is decent, but nothing to write home about which for me isnt a big deal as I use post shave products anyways. So far, I love the Tobacco, Barbershop, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Fougere Noire. I didn't like Mahogany.

I have the Rustic Barbershop and the Formula T Gaelic Tweed. They're good soaps. I would classify them more as a croap, as they are pretty soft. I slightly prefer the performance of the Formula T. I actually went down to the storefront so I could check out all of the scents. My favorites are the Gaelic Tweed, the Mahogany, the Ol' Kentucky. Runners up would be the Barbershop and the Fougere. There were a handful of others that sound interesting, but they were out of stock when I was down there.

I couldn't tell you if it performs like MdC but the Tallow version of their soaps is really nice and luxurious. I picked up the Gaelic Tweed and the Matterhorn recently. Awesome face feel, nice cushion and the scents are pretty stout too. Seems like it will be nice. I have one complaint though and maybe someone can verify this because I find it a bit curious. So I purchased their normal version 125grams for 12.99 and I purchased the two tallow soaps which were 14.99 for allegedly 4.7 ounces. Well, they all came in the same sized tin (which I wish they had plastic containers). I asked WSP about it and they said Tallow weighs more so that is why they could be in the same container, with the tallow soaps weighing more? I dunno. Seems wishy washy to me.

Only way to test that would be to weigh them yourself. If they are specifying in terms of weight and not volume (which you should always assume unless you see fl. oz specified) then it probably makes sense that the tallow formula would be more dense and heavier.
It's always been a frustrating distinction. One of those areas where the metric system is so much better. For water, 1 fluid oz of volume = 1 oz of weight. Not true for other materials.

I ordered the unscented version and used it the last 2 days. I like it so far. It lathers pretty fast and offers good protection. I agree with one of the statements above that it doesn't have the best post shave feel. It doesn't have that slick feeling that is left after using Stirling, but I still like it. Unfortunately, I have sensitive skin and there is something in Stirling that doesn't agree with me.

Honestly, so far, the Matterhorn and Gaelic Tweed Tallow versions have a very nice lather, and good scent strength. I would say they are solid performers for sure. They probably don't supplant Reef Point as my favorite tallow soaps but they are pretty solid and again, have nice scents and stoutness.

I wanted to update this thread as I had my first shave with the WSP Tallow version and had a very nice shave this morning. The scent strength of the Gaelic Tweed was excellent throughout the shave and it was a very nice interpretation of Irish Tweed scent. Additionally, the lather was very creamy and slick and provided excellent protection. Unfortunately, the one drawback is these stupid tiny tins. I HATE tins! And this one isn't wide and flat like the Stirling tins or something like that, which helps one to load easier. Anyway, just a pet peeve. Overall though, great experience. If they would put this soap in better packaging I'd be a much happier camper.
