Well, Mr. Vey did it again! I sent him the first brush that I ever bought and asked him to duplicate it in a bigger version and transplant the TGN Silvertip knot.
I also finally gave in to my Shavemac 2-band dream and Rudy created a Rover style brush in buffalo horn (inspired by a brush from another forum that looked good in a photo and looks even better in person). I used it for the first time this morning, and it did not disappoint. I noticed that it didn't pick up the CRSW soap quite as easily as the older TGN knots, but I imagine that will change as it continues to break in.
A few photos. The old and new handles, two of the replacement and new Rover, and a group shot with a Chubby with a TGN Silvertip that I bought from Rudy around a year ago. Having sold off my other brushes, I'm 100 percent Rudy Vey now (except for a Whipped Dog synthetic that I only use for travel, so that doesn't really count... right?)
Rudy is an artist and a very patient man!

Thank you all very much. I am enjoying the two new ones a lot. While very different in shape, all three feel terrific in my hand (just not at the same time
).
@duck creek, that one is a white zebra with a TGN Silvertip knot.
@refles, that one is a faux briar that is a larger version of a handle that I bought from TGN (along with the Silvertip knot that Rudy transplanted) back when I was just starting out on this wet shaving journey.
@lloydrm, I used the Rover for the fourth time this morning and I'm already feeling a difference. One thing I did differently was to not shake as much of the water out of it (as I do with the TGN knots in the other two handles) before going to the CRSW soap. I was rewarded by a great lather. I think I'm in love.
BTW, I think they all look a lot better in person!
