I just heard from Maggards through an email conversation, that Strop Shoppe is going out of business. Maggards is receiving their last order and that's all folks.........

Sad day. I love SS.

Email from Brad:

Subject: Re: Lavanille and alpine frost

Lavanille is on order.  Strop Shoppe has closed its doors; we have some of their products coming for a final order, but I'm not sure what ones.

Maggard will be the only place with the remaining stock of Strop Shoppe.

I'm sad to hear that. IMHO their soap was amongst the best of the best. I wish the owners the best of luck in their new endeavors. Fortunately, I have enough of their soap to last for quite some time. Maybe they'll be back at it by the time I'm all out!

Strop shoppes website has been "under maintenance" for a while now too... I think that confirms it.

Sucks

Used their only scent I had. Peppermint.
Just as I remembered. Performance was awesome. freaking easy to lather and slick but scent was only great because I added my own essential oils to it. (Peppermint and rosemary)

Not too sure if I will stock up though.

What a shame. It's been one of my favorite soaps for the past three years.

That stinks, their SE's are among my all time favorites. Absolutely fantastic post shave feel. I hate to say it but I would imagine this is a trend that will continue in 2016, much like the craft beer explosion, at some point the market will not continue to be able to support expansion and some will be forced out.

Sad news. Probably my favorite for performance, especially post shave feel.  Fortunately I still have most of 3 tubs of it.
