So I was lucky enough to receive a sample of Aventus. All I can say is I have never really been a cologne guy. I guess that is probably because I have never smelled anything so...I don't know really how to describe it.
Anyway, for those that are into these, is there a good place on the internet to buy this and other fragrances at a somewhat discounted price that can still be trusted?
Thanks

With Aventus you will still pay a decent amount even from Fragrance Net or any other place. Easiest and cheapest way is through a split or find someone with a flacon that would do a sample or decant some for you. Then you have batch variations so they smell different somewhat. That's a whole other thread all together. I have about 40 ml left of a split and I never reach for it.

I have a way for you to test if you are getting fake Creeds.
You get in on a split a from a trusted source/or buy samples of the Creeds you are interested in purchasing.
You buy the samples from stores you trust.
Then when you have sniffed the samples/small splits and feel you know how the scent should smell, this means preferably having worn the scent for 2-3 full days, and having sniffed the sample from your arm another 2-3 times, you look for good deals on Creed fragrances.
WARNING ADVICE: NEVER EVER buy Creed from Ebay. Just forget about it. I have only bought one frarances off Ebay, and this was because it was a special Arabian fragrance, that I could not find anywhere else. The fragrance turned up no problems, and it's the real stuff. But Creed fragrances are faked a lot, and Ebay is the fakers hall of fame, so just avoid Ebay.
I actually avoid Ebay in general. I know you can get good deals from trusted sellers there, but I just won't take the chance and waste my time worrying........
I have bought 3 of my Creeds from a Creed stores, the rest are bought online from stores I trust and have faith in.
This does not mean you can't find a fake Creed from stores you trust. I wouldn't be surprised if Creeds own boutique one day had a fake among it's fragrances.
Some of the fake Creeds are so well made, that you really have to look hard to find the differences.
One thing to look for is to make sure your Creed has a white plastic part directly under the sprayer.
But the best way to spot a fake is to use your nose. Does the full bottle Creed smell like the sample did ?
I know there are batch variations with Creeds, but still if the juice smells great to your nose, you can be quite sure it's a Creed.
The rest of my Creeds are bought at the Guersney based UK shop called All Beauty, used to be cheapsmells and then from Fragrancex.
I have bought more than 300 bottles from them and have yet to receive a fake.
I have even received very expensive Bond. No.9 that leaked or had an instance where I bought Bond No.9 Scent of Peace for him (a Bond clone that smells close to Creed Aventus) but recevied the very similar named Bond No. 9 called Scent of peace for Her. What did fragracex do ?
They paid me back what the 100 ml full bottle cost me ($180), and I could keep the Scent of Peace fo Her for free.
I also bought an Aventus bottle from them. The juice was great, but the bottle had been scraped on the label, so all the black was cracking.
I complained about it, and All Beauty paid me the entire amount back and I could keep the Aventus bottle for free.
Now I'm most likely what they call a VERY good customer, so I don't know if they are this way towards everyone, but I can not complaint.
All the 15 full bottle Creeds I have bought have all been the real deal, and all smell great.

Does it smell real ?
Does it last (some Creed originals don't last more than 5-6 hours on many, but a lot of fakes will last even less than that)
My Aventus last at least 12-14 hours on my skin and is from the smoky batch.
My 2 GIT's last atleast 8-10 hours on my skin.
My Roya Oud lasts at least 8 hours on my skin.
Royal Mayfair last 8-10 hours.
Bois du Portugal 10-12 hours.
Spice & woods 8-10 hours.
The reast of my Creeds last 4-6 hours...
I would never ever buy from a Creed Boutique.
Just follow my advice.
If you really want to be sure - get two Creed samples from two different stores.
Smell them over a span of a week.
Safe a little from the samples.
Then buy the full bottle Creed, and compare it to your 2 samples.

I'll make this simple.
Fragrance Net
http://www.fragrancenet.com
First in Fragrance
http://www.ausliebezumduft.de
Both of these websites have been offering genuine creed for years and have won basenotes awards as being top websites for fragrances. They ship internationally. I've bought from both and I'm a very happy customer.
