Anyone have any experience with a Rooney Beehive? This one in particular.

These knots have been pretty good in my experience, they are nice and dense with the occasional faint scritchy sensation.  The beehive handle is very comfortable to hold in use and is beautiful to look at.  The only improvement would be to make it two-band!

I've never used a Beehive, but I have some experience with these knots. I concur with Nathan's description, and find them quite pleasant to use. Judging by feel, it is the same hair that you would get in a contemporary M&F 3-band.

Had a Rooney Beehive 1 in heritage 3 band, was a wonderful brush. The knot and hair was very nice, was lucky to have no scritch and just a touch of scrub, performance was awesome as is most Rooney's I've had. Being 3 band it splays very easily but my size 1 had a lower loft which helped manage the splay. I ended up gifting it to a friend because he prefers smaller brushes and this to me was just a tiny bit small for me, I imagine the Beehive 2 size would the size I would want at a minimum.
Very comfortable handle..with a knot that performs well and if the hair is similar characteristics as the Beehive 1 I bought about 10 months ago it should be a wonderful brush.

I sold mine about a year ago. Unfortunately I did not like the knot, too scritchy and it shed a few hairs on each use.

I have both the 1 and 2 in Super Badger. I don't use them often as I prefer my Simpson brushes. I agree with your description. If I could only have one brush the 2 in Super Badger would leave me happy. I think the OP can buy with confidence.
