I'm selling my custom brush made by Vladimir Ferdman (LoveYourShave on Etsy). It's a PK-47 inspired brush made from Burmese Blackwood and the knot is a 24mm Romera Manchurian 2 band set at around 47mm loft. It's tips are soft, yet scrubby. It's developed hooked tips and has moderate backbone with good flow-through. There is a small place in the last picture where I've shown as best I can a minor spot on the finish that isn't perfect. It's only on one side and extremely tiny. I've done my best to capture the beauty of the wood with my camera, but a cell phone just doesn't do it justice.

I've adjusted the dimensions to what I think are correct. I've compared it to other brushes that are sold as 24mm and it's definitely larger than them, but smaller than 28mm.

Dimensions (approximate) from Vladimir:
Total height: 118mm
Handle height: 71mm
Loft height: 47mm
Knot: ~27mm (24mm plug)

I've updated the knot measurement as I used some calipers on it tonight.

I'm selling for $80 including CONUS shipping, Paypal fees, and insurance. Original cost was about $110 including shipping. Payment is via Paypal. Not looking for trades.
The brush will need a few days to dry before I mail it out.

What a gorgeous brush. My 2016 restraint / sabbatical is tough when I see something like this. GLWTS.

Vlad makes great brushes and those Artesania Romera knots are superb!

Thanks for the kind words. I've dropped the price a little. Also, I would consider trade for a nice 3" strop of similar value.

Is the Knot 28mm or 24mm? You have 2 listings in your post. One in the paragraph, the other in the detail bullet points.

It was purchased as a 24mm knot/plug from Artesanía Romera. The measurements listed from Vladimir were what he sent me after completing the brush.

I don't own calipers or have access to them.

Weekly Bump. Still available. Changing trade interest. I would consider a straight razor of equal value.

Interested in Ralf Aust, Henckels Friodur, Filarmonica, or CV Heljstrand. I just bought a strop so I don't need another.

Can you describe the level of softness on the individual hairs, the backbone, and splay? I have tried the Romera Manchurian before and found it pretty soft but wasn't happy with the splay. I wish it splayed more. What's your take on this one?

I find it pretty soft on my hand and face. There is good scrub with circular motions when lathering and with painting strokes it feels very nice. There is moderate backbone and it splays fairly easily (though is by no means what I would call floppy). It has very good flow-through as well.

I also picked up some calipers today. I measured the knot at the opening as 27x47 approximately.

Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it. I typically like looser knots that excel at painting and splaying, making the release nice. I don't think I've ever tried a 27mm brush though. I really am a fan of Vladimir's work and his craftsmanship is really up there for an artisan brush turner. He's done a great job with installing the knots that I have.

I have one good camera and it's the one on my phone. This is about as good as it gets. A couple of the shots aren't perfect, but I'm not bothered enough to retake them.
