€110 for two, what a bargain price, but shipping was free and I chose FedEx 2-3 days Priority delivery.

I have had these two soaps in my mind for the last 3-4 months now........just waiting to pull the trigger and now I finally did it.

I hope they will live up to their reputation.

Anyone else owns both the Rossa and the Blue Nuavia ?

Which one do you prefer ?

What would you rate them on 1/10 scale ?

Cushion ?
Slickness/glide ?
Lather stability ?
Post shave feel ?
Overall rating ?

Photos below are taken from Google, mine are just bought 5 minutes ago at the webshop.

I have the Rossa which you will love since it smells like a nice Oud. I haven't smelled or tried the Blu but I may sell my Rossa and get the Blu or just see if someone wants to go in on ordering a pair to get the free shipping.

I own both. Let me say that I'm far from an expert on luxury soaps and creams but these two soaps are my absolute favorite that I own.

Cushion 9/10

Slickness/glide 10/10
Lather stability 10/10
Post shave feel 9.5/10
Overall rating 9.8

I prefer the Blu. I love the sweet spicy warm scent of the Blu. I also love the Rossa but there is just something about the Blu. Both are great fall/winter time scents and they are both very stout. The Rossa sort of has a sandalwood cologne type scent but it is woody and rich. I'm sure you can describe these better than me so I look forward to your thoughts.

You're going to love them both.

Congratulations, Claus. I have both soaps and they are both 10's for performance and scent but I would give the blue the edge in the scent department.

I know you are into scents and I would highly recommend pairing Aftelier Perfumes Bergamoss scent with the blue, it is a heavenly combo.

Enjoy!

I only have the Blu, and its spectacular.  Performance is as good or better than any of the other (many) excellent soaps I have or have tried.  The scent on Blu is special, in my opinion on a different, more sophisticated level.

I've been reaching for Blu about 3-4 times more than any of my other soaps, a first for me.

Thanks guys, I have HIGH EXPECTATIONS for these two soaps.

I have Proraso Red March, so can't use them until April.

Looking forward to that, I can tell you right now  Badger

Have both of them and they are my top soaps, where the Rossa has a little edge over the Blu.

Congrats Claus, really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these two soaps. I've been holding off on these as well and it's getting hard not to pull the trigger on at least one of them.

I'm trying earnestly to make a significant dent in my existing software stockpile, but I'm really tempted by these...

I have both and they are some of the best soaps I have ever used. The Blu trumps the Rossa in terms of scent in my opinion, but both smell fantastic that i'm sure you will be pleased.

Thanks for doping the ratings.
Really must be a seriously good soap.

The Nuavia Rossa has quickly risen to become one of my favorite soaps...ever. The Blue is also fantastic, and the formula is a big winner IMO. I even use some of the excess lather as an AS (per the recommendation) and it works astoundingly well.

I hope they will continue to be in production as they are among the very few soaps that I never want to be without Biggrin

I hope they decide to sell refills someday, although beautiful I wouldn't want the added cost of the bowl every time I want to restock on the soap when I run out.

That won't be easy... You have so many wonderful soaps, why to use exclusively a whole month this mediocre performing soap/ cream? I know it's a challenge, but a little on the non- sense side.

I also have both the Nuavias since September, they are overall some of the best soaps I have. Absolutely lovely scents. I'm sure you will be pleased by their performance. I kinda prefer a little more the Rossa in winter and I'm looking forward to use the Blu more in spring.

Tell you why  Smile

My Martin de Candre unscented 200 gram glass jar did not work to have my Savonniere du Moulin soap in, but found that the Proraso soap pot works perfectly.
So bought a spare one, then saw the thread 'same soap for a month' and enlisted.

With that said, Proraso Red, cream as well as the soap, is IMHO a very solid performing soap and cream. Highly underrated in my opinion.

But I get fine shaves with most of my creams and soaps in my den, even the cheap underperformers like Palmolive and Nivea works for me.
Are they better than the top soaps and top creams in my den - NO ! - but they do a fine job.

I seem to have perfected my shaving technique since I joined the shaving forums in 2011, and now get fine shaves even with a Fusion and a can of Proraso foamed goo.
For me the preperation along with my technique of low to no pressure and knowing my face benefits and provide me with better and better shaves, even with mediocre products.

But I still love and enjoy to use the TOP TOP TOP performing creams and soaps, so will look forward to April 1.st, if you know what I mean  Tongue

Good luck with your challenge, Claus! I did it on June with the LPL Traditionnel, it was a great experience using exclusively such a wonderful soap.

I personally prefer the Rossa over the Blu. Both are great performers but Rossa wins for scent, for me. Very nice Oud scent.. Should go well with one of your 400+ frags
Both soaps have an excellent cushion and very nice slickness. Provides for a very comfortable shave. not quite as slick as MDC, XPEC or SMN but gives just of an excellent of a ahave
