I was wondering if anyone here used Woody's Meat and Potatoes soap regularly as a bath soap.

I received a sample a while ago, when people were touting it as a shave soap. I found it to be 'meh!' as a shave soap, but I do like the scent. Anyway, I decided to use it as a bath soap, and that seems to be working well for me.

However, it is pretty expensive, so I was wondering if there were any cheap sources for it.

Also, if you use it regularly as a bath soap - what do you think of it?

If it's as good as Woody's hair products, I'm in.

Some of the online, discount sources of the hair products also carry the body products. I've seen them at some Ulta stores as well and we sometimes get a 15-20% off coupon for Ulta, (20% if you're a member of their club,15% otherwise).
I HTH!

Woody's is a great line but the only way I know of getting it is from beauty supply stores or hair salons. Luckily my wife still has a cosmotology lic. and she is able to purchase those products for me at a discount, If there is something you want to try shoot me a PM and I can get it for you if it is worth it with shipping and all. Woody's also makes shaving lather and aftershave balm which are both pretty good.

Wait, what? I thought I was going to get a soup recipe.

Meat and Potatoes SOAP? What on earth does that smell like? Soup?

I'm fascinated.

I too am curious about the scent with a name like "meat and potatoes." I bet I wouldn't have any trouble getting our Sheltie, Max, to heel after bathing with this one. Tongue

Unfortunately, it just has a citrus scent - like a mix between lemon and grapefruit. Very nice, but not meat and potatoes.

It's interesting that (perhaps because of the name), every time I use it I think it smells like the scent you get when you squeeze a fresh lemon on food. Smile

However, it is not worth the money. It has been getting used up much more quickly than my regular soap and it also leaves my skin dry. I'm glad I tried it out before buying a bunch of bars of the stuff.

Not many things in the world are more baffling to me than a soap called "meat and potatoes" smelling of lime and zest.
