Hello gents, thought I would just let guys know about a soap I was asked to sample late last year and early this year, is now available for sale. This soap is made by a man and wife team in the UK and is tallow based. I believe they are also working on a vegan recipe. Anyway I'll let the following pictures describe the quality of lather. It is super slick and provides excellent cushion. The post shave feel is also very nice. We are also creating a LE soap by P&B (Phoenix & Beau) which will be to compliment Encre Noire and hopefully available in good time.

I'm drawn to soaps with allantoin (think Mystic Water Sensitive Skin) and saw this soap had it included. Magical ingredient.
This soap maker was new and unknown to me.
Three weeks in and it's right there with the likes of Mike's, Mystic, CRSW. I rate it higher than the Nuavia soaps. Superior product imo.
The lather might be better than Mike's and the post shave may even exceed Mystic. Close call.
Great labels! P&B clearly did their homework! Smile

Higher than the Nuavias? In terms of post shave feeling, protection and slickness?

I haven't tried them but the reviews I've read so far talk about a good performing product. I am not sure if I will eventually buy them, for a 115gr soap with a flimsy plastic jar the price is a bit high, in my opinion.

Granted the Nuavia Blu & Rossa have a different  formulation but I do prefer the Phoenix and Beau.

Better product...imo.

Of course it's a matter of preference, but in what terms do you think that it performs better? I am just trying to understand how good soap is this.

Lather, slickness, glide and post shave.
Nuavia is a great soap in its own right indeed.
Probably the best vegan.

Now I have to persuade myself I don't need another soap...

Kerry & Sarah (P&B) were kind enough to create a LE version for a UK Forum, it was a scent that we created together. To be honest they provided a perfect sample first time off. They have an excellent nose for scents. Their Citra Royale doesn't suffer the sweet lime tone, which I don't like. It's earthy and bitter. More natural if you will.

The soap truly is unique. Beautiful lather. I agree it's just above Mike's and in my mind similar to MW. You get that same elasticity pre lather as you do with great tallow soaps.

The LE was called Obsidian:

Beautiful (but I am biased) based on black pepper, Olibanum, cedar, oak moss and vetiver. As the name suggests it's dark and mysterious. On opening you get a strong freshly milled black/green peppercorn mix, warmed by the Olibanum and settled on a bed of vetiver and oak moss.

Another great British artisan whose soaps I'm sampling currently is Nanny's Silly Soaps. She has produced a beautiful tallow and is looking to bring it to market. You may already know of her signature range.

P&B have also recently brought out spitfire:

Again a very masculine scent. Juniper supplements the leather and green tobacco superbly.

I was floored by the soap on first use. The ingredient list upon inspection got me excited, then I used it. Wow. Really thrilled about this artisan. I was down to using Mike's & Mystic and just added a third.

Great performance.  I got the Solaris, but let it go because I didn't care for the scent.  Might have to try another on here in the near future.

Solaris is my least favourite too, spitfire is very nice and unusual. Obsidian is not available.
