Hello my name is matt and I am a menthol addict. Im pretty new to wet shaving and have just discovered that I love mentholated soaps and aftershaves. However being so new I haven't had the opportunity to try many out, I picked up maggard orange menthol soap and as and have stirling spice splash and just ordered margaritas in the Arctic. We just had a baby so my spending is on hiatus for awhile however when I do have a couple spair dollars I would like some suggestions on some good mentholated soaps and splashes. So if you don't mind tell me what you like and why. Thanks!

Not the coldest, the I find myself reaching for good old Proraso most often. With the preshave applied first, it is pleasantly mentholated. And for splashes, why not grab a bottle of m-bomb from The Shave Den Shop and then you can add as much menthol to any splash (or your soap lather) as you like?

- I Coloniali Mango Oil (soap, mild cooling)
- I Coloniali Rhubarb (cream, mild cooling)
- TOBS Peppermint (cream, intense cooling)
- Proraso Green (soap, and cream, intense cooling)
My personal fave mentholated splash is D.R.Harris Arlington, but it's somewhat pricey; LEA Classic is less expensive, and functions very well too, imo.
I don't care for the fragrance used in the current Proraso Green splash, but it functions well, and has plenty of menthol. YMMV.

Palmolive Menthol Shave Cream is very cold for a cream -- much colder than Proraso in my opinion. Myrsol Plastic is a pretty cooling aftershave in my experience as well. For some reason I get more of a cooling from it than other Myrsol products. And of course 444 Balm/ gel is very cooling too.
