Thanks Richard, the soap is great if I had to compare the performance to any other soap it would have to be Jabonman/Eufros. It's super slick stuff.

Looks fantastic Andy!

That's the knot I would have chosen too.

Sadly Juan had sold out of handles, so I missed out.

Bufflehead beauties! Can you describe 5th Season?
that's the one justin created for me. scent pyramid is as follows:

  • Bergamot, Lemon
  • Clove, Juniper
  • Amber, Cedarwood, Madagascar Vanilla, Musk, Sandalwood
it's inspired, rather loosely, on an old creed: baie de genievre. the lemon and juniper jump out at me with the musk and amber holding the thing together. i really do love it Smile

May I ask what the name means? I didn't see an explanation on the Bufflehead site. Congrats, btw-- that's a very nice honor.

That's unfortunate they sold out, I'm sure you would love this brush, super soft tips and a perfectly weighted handle.

I'm pleased you are enjoying it Andy!

Your description makes it sound as appealing as it looks! If Juan makes another run, hopefully I secure one.

thanks, man Smile

i wanted to call it "615" which in spanish is seis uno cinco. seis uno was massaged into season (bit of stretch, yes, but i liked it) and cinco is five. and thus the name was born.

Ah, okay, and 615 is Nashville's area code. Makes sense. That's a cool, subtle reference.

Mail call. Bufflehead "Fifth Season" & Buddha brush. Two new CRSW v2 select and Oliva. I like the brush handle a lot, but the knot is way too stiff. I may try steaming it out and resetting it at a higher loft. Or sending it to Brad Sears for a 30mm 3-band Manchurian transplant.

One of my favorite strops. Very smooth, medium draw. Exceptional craftsmanship. Congratulations!
