Hi all,
I was wondering if brushes marketed as boar are really boar? I have a few Semogue brushes (my favorite brand) and the bristles are blonde as opposed to black and I tend to believe most brush makers use good quality pig hair as opposed to wild boar. What do you all think?

Espagna make wonderfull cured ham and they are used to find truffles in France. I went boar and goat hunting on San Nicholas Island. My nimrod
companions let loose such a indiscriminate volley I dove for cover. this guy dove down beside me. I commented on the insanity and he grunted in agreement. Once the fire stopped I slowly stood up. He did too, and trotted off. I gave up hunting that day. Non native boars do a lot of damage ecologicaly, but I'll leave them to others. Farm raised pig hair is good enough for my old Kent clothing and hair brushes.
