I've been using LORDS these past few days and experienced a curious reaction. Compared  to my POLSILVER/SIs there is  in our lexicon 'pulling'. But it wasn't at all unpleasant like a MERKUR or BOLZANO. Rather, it was like driving my old MGA with rack and pinion steering on 2 ply KMART 78 bias belt tyres VS my later 66 Chrysler 300 with power steering and Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials. The blade was giving real feedback on how I was doing with pressure and angle and I felt more in control. Perhaps the excellence of the POLSILVERS has simply locked in an efficient routine and distanced my full attention to the
shave?

Makes sense. It's sort of like the difference between the smooth, cushy ride of a Rolls Royce compared to the rough and bunpy ride of a Yugo.
