Readers may recall a shocking experience I recently had sending a beautiful #15 OC Aristocrat overseas and it being lost...LOST... by Australia Post, but because my wife had contributed to the cost as part of a birthday present to me, I combined hers with my own money and purchased this outstanding example of an OC #15 OC.

This particular razor originated in Gibraltar (of all places), and is in SUPERB condition. At first I thought it must surely have been re-plated, but only upon almost microscopic inspection can the tiny little tell-tale surface scratches be seen, but they are so miniscule as to be completely invisible to the naked eye. The case is also in great condition, and the set comes with an instruction leaflet that I'd normally put with a #20. Under the head: 400.621. On the handle: 430.030. Not bad for a 77 year old.

Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, here are the pictures. If you have seen a better, original-condition example, then please post the pictures!

Enjoy.

I'm so glad you were able to overcome the loss so well - this is fantastic to look at.

How's it shave?

Yes, I have mostly overcome the loss of my grail. Unfortunately, Australia Post went into privatisation and the result has been a complete and utter disaster for consumers. I'd encourage anyone posting back and forth to and from Australia utilising Australia Post to explore all options. In my case I have no compensation claim, and only after 3 months might be able to be reimbursed for a few stamps. On the sorry state of Australia Post, I encourage you to look at the link below to get some idea of what's happening. Australia Post used to be efficient, reliable, and trustworthy. I don't know what you'd call it now.
