Hi, I want to buy a Bronze baseplate to use it with the SS cap and handle...I'm wondering if I will get the same results than using an all-SS combination.

Do they have the same specs/tolerances?

Thanks,
RV

I am thinking there is probably a difference as bronze is heavier.

I would think the geometry and tolerances would be the same, but the weight, inclination to patina, and density would be different. In use, it should be fine, shouldn't it?

Have you emailed Stan to ask?

Yes, I would think the same. Just checking out if someone has used it that way.

I emailed Stan first, hope to get a answer soon Smile

Thanks for the replies!

I used my bronze plate with at SS cap and I experienced no difference than the all bronze and all SS head.  The weights were very similar and didn't feel a noticable difference.
