I used my La Toja soap stick tonight for the first time in awhile. I have been trying several others including Mystic Water sticks, a very good soap also, and I stuffed a puck of B&M Latha in a tube, and I put some Cella in a tube also. These were all very good but I have to say La Toja beats them all. It made such a creamy rich lather and leaves your skin feeling so good. And the scent is really great. It's just simply the best soap of all, bar none. IMO of course.

I do enjoy La Toja but would like it if they offered it in more scents/formulas. I appreciate the addition of the alum in the soap as my face is easily nicked.

It has one of the nicest scents there is. That's what drew me to it at first. Then the performance was just outstanding.

The scent reminds me of the Tide detergent.

The only stick soap that I like.  Every time I go to Madrid or Barcelona I always pick several for myself and friends.  Makes a great travel soap IMO.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Lol, at least is not Arko, which reminds me of a subway station urinal, lol......

I used it again this morning. I've had one since my early days in this hobby, but it (along with its cousin LEA) is now in heavy rotation as I work down inventory.

I've always loved its performance and face feel, though my poor sense of smell does not pick up much scent from it.

Nonetheless, down the road I'd gladly buy it again.

I agree, it doesn't poses a strong scent, which is a plus for me.

All the Spanish shaving sticks smell like detergent, a mix of Tide and OMO.

It's a little extreme to say that Arko smells like urinal, I wouldn't say that, it reminds me of toilet cleansers, like chlorine and wc gel, with cheap lemon scent.

This is good clarification. So what Arko smells like is a freshly cleaned urinal, right?

Ah yes, that's what I meant to say a urinal puck.

Not that extreme when you mention LA Toja smells like laundry detergent.  Just a difference of opinion.

It's totally different things, the detergent and the urinal. The detergent has always a nice clean, fresh scent, while the subway station urinal is messy and disgusting most of the times, if not always. I pointed out that Arko has a cheap lemon scent, like chlorine and wc gels. You have your opinion, I have mine, so what?

Forgot to mention that I love La Toja. It performs fantastic and I really like the scent. It's indeed better than some other more expensive soaps, in terms of performance and easiness of lathering. I have a sealed box with 12 of them. I bought them for 1.35$ each. It was a great deal.

I used up a La Toja stick in 2014 and it was great, performance-wise and scent-wise. One of those - "i'll re-buy once I use up some of my existing inventory", which never happens.

This thread has reminded me of "The Worst Toilet in Scotland" scene in Trainspotting

I wonder if anyone has made a soap in that scent.

Take a hold of yourself and respect other people opinions thats what.

You are the one who hijacked the thread, it was a positive thread about the product, and you turned it into something else.

Of course I respect everyone's opinion and I write in a very polite manner, in contrast to you.

Exactly Biggrin. I'm done with the negativity.  This a nice thread in praise of La Toja and I agree, I love it.
