First, I really enjoy Vintage brushes.  I like the restoration process and all I use are Vintage handles.

Here's a Culmak 92 that I just picked up. New Old Stock, it is in perfect condition. Even the box is perfect. Thought you might enjoy pictures of this one.  Sticker on the box and Brush show original price of $16.50.  I'm guessing late 60's early 70's but just a guess.

I am amazed at the knot on this guy, super dense with very white tips.  The knot measures 31mm x 57mm and the overall height of the brush is roughly 112mm.  I haven't put it on the scale yet but it's got some heft.

It looks very much like a Simpson Chubby 3 in Super Badger.  Don't know which came first.

My right brain is yelling "Use it" and my left brain is saying "No, It's New Old Stock, save it"  which is typical.  Only time will tell which side wins.

Wow. And all I can think of is pristine stickers. They just don't make it like that anymore. Both the sticker and the brush.

That's amazing. Great score! I have an 86 in basically the same shape, but nothing like the same condition. And the knot in yours is mind-blowing.

Wow, that is one heck of a find! Knot is stunning! Love the sticker, my grandmother worked in the women's hat department at that G. Fox store in Hartford as a teenager some 80 years ago!

Thanks for the comments, it truly is a fantastic brush.  Does anyone know when the Simpson Chubby 3 was introduced?  I'm wondering if this was a copy of that brush or what inspired the Chubby 3?
