I purchased 5 samples from Maggards today, 4 flavors of TOBS and one Geo F. Trumper. Hope they are as good as everyone has said they are. Guess I'll have to find out. I'm looking forward to it.

Sample sizes varies, but even the skimpiest samples I've seen lasted me four or five shaves. The most generous one I'm still working on using up Tongue

Which scents did you pick?

You can get 7-8 shaves from each Maggard's sample, from my experience.

I've gotten samples from maggards, mystic waters, and reef point. Maggards are in tiny cups, reef point are free cubes, mystic waters are half discs.

The maggards style I scoop out a almond sized amount and smear it across the bottom of a bowl, and load from there. I do four pass shaves, and easily get 4-5 shaves from the smallest sample.

Same here, maybe 2 shaves… for creams, I am referring to.

I don't recall any soap samples.

Maggard's cream samples should last a week. Soap can last two weeks, depending on how hungry your brush is. (And how long you load it.)

Avacado, Rose, Lavender, St. Jermyn St.. I also got Sandalwood from Geo. F. Trumper. Got them today and smelled them all. They all smell great, can't wait to shave with them.

Probably nothing, did you buy creams? You get far fewer shaves from cream samples than soap samples. Also, hard water, water quantity, and brush density affect loading and lather.

Creams & soaps. I'm still having a hard time building a lather. I tried spooning out and pressing it in a cereal bowl but it's full of air so I stopped trying that way.

Tried the sandalwood from Trumpers. It was great. Smelled wonderful and provided great cushion and slickness. Can't wait to try the rest.

I've tried the Avocado and the St. Jermyns. I love the Avocado. Nice a creamy and makes a great lather. The St Jermyns is ok but not a great fragrance.
